During your stay you will walk along the famous Bund, visit the beautifully maintained Yu Garden, dating from the 16th century, and afterwards tour the renowned Shanghai Museum which is famous for its collection of paintings, sculptures, porcelain, costumes, ancient bronzes and other artefacts. You will then ascend the Shanghai World Financial Centre Tower, one of the world’s tallest buildings, for an astonishing view over the city. (B/L)
Today is at your leisure to explore more of this developing city on your own. There are many more things to see for those with time to spare, for instance the Jade Buddha and Longhua Temples and the Shanghai Botanic Garden. It is also possible to take a cruise on the Huangpu River or a one-day tour to the old canal town of Xitang. (B)
